I am pleased to say we have about 90 shops participating in the Hunt for The Cure this October! Which is super awesome and a much much bigger turn out that I was expecting. I am beyond thrilled and I hope we are able to do some good with this hunt.
while the application due date has past I will still consider adding a shop if they are pretty much ready to go I want to avoid adding anyone and then having them realize that they are not going to be able to get everything done in time.
We would love to do some extra things in the month of October to help spread the word about the hunt as well as to raise some more money. So far we have talked about hosting an event of some sort and maybe a tail sale of some verity. What do you all think? Would you be interested in a tail sale? Do you have other ideas for things that could help raise money or spread the word about the hunt? Let me know in the comments.

Have two DJ-hosted parties (2-4 hours), one on the first day of the hunt’s start and one at the end. Make it a good socialized, mixer, you could have the tail sale stuff go on during those times as well. Have some sort of low key contest during them if you want. I think a social gathering like that (well, two of them x3) is a good way to get people motivated. You could even have like four mini (1-2 hours each) parties, to help break it up for all users or interested parties to attend like EU folks throughout both days.
Hmm I’m actually not sure if this would be a good idea but it just hit me while reading your blog post.
I was thinking maybe a milk donation stall would be good and then a resale for a higher price with all proceeds going to the charity fund. This along with a percentage of hormone costs going the the charity fund as well. The one with the most contributions could get a gift card to your store or a prize or something (excluding the hormones of course ;))lol (highest amount of milk donated/most shots bought etc.). That way people can donate the extra milk they do not want, buyers can buy knowing their money is going towards a good cause, and hormone purchases will also rise knowing their money is going towards charity (also to donate their milk all over again lol) and to top it all off the most donated would get a little gift from mused 🙂 I don’t see any of this impacting the game or market in a negative way in the long run but I could have just overlooked something lol seems like a good idea to me right now 😛

ps. some prizes that could be offered could be a 50 or 25 linden gift card and have a gift card exchange in the store if they’ve won more than one (trade four 25L$ cards for a 100, etc.). That way it would take longer to save up to something in the store 😉 and you guys wouldn’t be handing out things by the hundreds per contest (it could be per contest, or collectively like gen points) lol. The contest ending each week or month.
ps. I just remembered that I can also see replies lol xD if you guys find it more convenient to post a response here that would be awesome too :3 I stalk this blog like there is no tomorrow lol.
