Appliers part 2 skins

This will be part 2 of our coverage of appliers, going over, what they are, how they work and some basic of how to make them. While these posts will hopefully be helpful we can’t support third party work or aid in content creation. You can see the previous post about making clothing appliers here.

An applier for prim or mesh breasts is an object that is scripted to work with the breasts to put or “apply” a texture to a particular part of the breasts. Different brands will use a different script setups to make the applier work so not every applier is compatible with every brand of breast. When it come to skins for prim breasts they are only able to work with skins made specifically for that brand and style. This is not true of all mesh breasts some are inter compatible for skins but for current :mused: breasts only skin appliers made for them will work.

So to start you will need to make a skin texture that will match your skin and wrap correctly on the breast you wish to make it for. To that end we provide textures for you to work from so you know how to shade and wrap your own textures. You can get the skin and nipple textures for full breasts and the developer pack in world in the store next to the full breast vender TP link. The milkmade skin and nipple textures can be downloaded from the website here and the developer pack can be gotten in world above the tank modification kit TP link.

Full Breasts v2

Once you have the texture you wish to use to on the breasts and the developer kit you will need to rez a copy of the applier, edit it and open the _config_1 script.  It will look like this, minus the highlighting. (all images can be viewer larger by clicking them)

You will then need to right click the texture you wish to use and select copy asset UUID.

Now simply highlight and delete COPY&PASTE TEXTURE UUID HERE and paste in your UUID. Make sure the = and ” are still there. So it would look something like “UUID=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000”

And save the script. You should now be able to apply the texture to your breast by clicking the applier object.

(in very rare cases, such as not working from the textures we provide, you might need to adjust the offset, or rotation of the texture to make it look right)

milkmade:

milkmade is a lot like the full breasts but with some slight differences. The first being that the milkmade applier has two configuration scripts to handle two different textures. This is so that your skin does not have to be a mirrored image from one breast to another. Useful for adding a tattoo, or freckles, or spots, or any other variation you might wish to. If you do want to just use one texture for both then there are two ways to do that. You can flip it in your editing software or you can edit the offset in the script which I will explain below. The texture on the website is for the left breast and so we will begin with that one.

Rez a copy of the applier, edit it and open _congfig_skin_left. It will look like this, again without the highlighting.

You can now copy the UUDI of your left breast texture by right clicking it and selecting copy asset UUID and pasting it between the quotation marks in the area shown on the image. Make sure the quotation marks are still there and save the script.

Close it and open _config_skin_right. If you are working with two different textures the setup is exactly the same as the left breast. Copy the right breast texture UUID and paste into place, check that quotation marks are still there and save.

If you are working with one texture you will want to paste the left breast UUID here instead and then go down to the section of the script that says vector texture_repeats = and change that first 1.00000 to a -1.00000. (shown highlighted here)MM_003

This will mirror the texture onto the breasts. Make sure the < is still in place right before the negative and save the script. You should now be able to apply the texture to your breast by clicking the applier object.

Remember if you are distributing this applier to set the next owner perms on the scripts to no mod.

Updating milkmade v 1.20 to milkmade v1.30

With the update deadline approaching (July 12th, 2013) I wanted provide a little extra help in updating to those who might want it.

First of all you can use the v1.30 that are in the box and resize and change the appearance if you would prefer rather than updating an older pair of breasts. However if you have one or more that you would rather just update the scripts on instead of resetting up the appearance here is how to do it.

Step one: wear a pair of milkmade version 1.20 breasts. When you do you should get version 1.30 sent to you. If for some reason you do not you can go to the main store and click the button there or you can file a ticket (more information in original post)

Step two: unpack your update box and find me (the  :mused: Milk Made Breast Update (USB) ) and then rez me! You can also wear me if you want to I don’t mind being held. When I am rezed I will give you a script. (It will go into your script folder in your inventory.) This script will let me talk to your breasts and update the rest of the scripts in them.

Step three: Rez a copy of the breasts you want to update, but make sure to keep me out! I need to be there to do the updating for you.

Step four: Edit the breasts and put the script I gave you into the content window. They will say this in local chat to let you know we are working.

Step six: Now I am done! You can see I updated the scripts because I have added the new script for the xcite! features.

Step seven: I know a lot of people like to rename their breasts so they know what outfit or avatar they have it set up for so I did not change the name of the breasts but I did change the description so you can leave them as they are or change the name of them so you remember they were updated.

Step eight: You can now take your breasts back into your inventory and are done or you can use me to update another pair of the breasts for you!

Welcome to milkmade

Hey musers,

We had a request for a basic summery of the milkmade system that could be easily passed out to people who were new to the system or thinking of joining. While I HIGHLY recommend reading through the manual as this will only be a summery and not provide instruction this should be a good place to start to get a feel for the system.

Q and A:

What is milkmade?

  • milkmade is a set of prim breasts that are milk able and have a rather unique look from other breasts on the market.
  • milkmade is a competitive game that provides personal goals and achievement as well as group based competition.
  • milkmade is an RP tool for those who wish to have lactation play.

It is all of these things at once and while you can’t “turn off” any of those functions you do not have to actively participate in any part of it if you don’t wish to. (Some features like certain appearance options are only available through game play and calcium is a universal factor for all users even if you don’t play the game competitively, but more on that below.)

Competition? What competition?

With milkmade there are a few stats that are tracked and factor into different ranks:

  • MOT or milk over time tracks the amount of milk a breast user has made since starting in the system. MOT levels are unlocked at certain amount of milk made and there are some appearance features that are unlocked with these levels as well as a small boost to the user’s lactation rate (tracked in lph or litres per hour)
  • Milk storage is based on the total amount of milk in storage tanks that you own.
  • Life time milk intake is the total amount of milk you have drank since starting to use the system.
  • Persistence is a total of all the milk consumed in the last 30 days.

Some of these stats are used to determine another competitive rank currently called generation. Those in the top 5 generations have a bonus added to the milk they own so if someone not in the top 5 generations drinks their milk it will provide extra calcium and milk drank credit.

There is also a family rank that uses the above stats as well. You do not need to be in a family to use the milkmade system but many people do because it makes cooperative play easier to accomplish.

You mentioned Calcium but I did not see that in the stats list.

Right so every user of the system whether they are a milk master, a drinker or a milk producer has a calcium level. The current maximum level of calcium a user can have is 10 mg. Every day each user’s body consumes 0.5 mg of their calcium. This loss is calculated on our servers at night. Drinking 1litre of milk will give you 1 mg of calcium. If you make a lot of milk (over 10L a day) then there is an added calcium loss because you are using so much of it. If you don’t drink and your calcium levels hit 0 mg then you will become sick with hypocalcemia and you can’t play until that is fixed by drinking 10L of milk or taking vitamin D.

Can you play without having the breasts?

Yes! You can be a milk master with a master HUD this lets you own servants in the milkmade system, monitor their calcium and milk production, have control over their pumping milk and appearance options on the breast as well as some RLV features. Or you can just be a drinker with the 1l$ milk monitor HUD this helps you keep track of your calcium, as well as storage stats and things.

If I want to be a master or drinker do I need to be in a family? and what is a milk family?

No you can just be master of a milk servant (or more) without needing to be in a family as well, and you can be a drinker without being part of any particular family or under a master (but you can if you want to). A family is a way to pool resources. Storage tanks can be shared with a family as well as an SL group, many families and masters provide bonus items (Things like hormones to help speed up milk production. Bonus items are not needed to enjoy the system but can aid in reaching personal achievements faster) for their families. Joining a family can be a way to get in to the game with others to help you out.

WARNING! Take a milk master or join a family with great care. You can only be released from them by the master or family owner or but purchasing an appropriate elixir.

We have not really been getting a lot of submissions for this I had hoped that adding a theme would help inspire some ideas, maybe help boost some people’s confidence since they knew what we were expecting. We have another theme planed for July but let me know what you think of it should we keep doing themes? Does it help or does it just bind your creativity? Should we drop doing the pinups all together? Should we feature our runner ups as well? Let me know what you all want! Anyway the theme for July is “Summer Fun” remember to check out or submission guidelines and to check out Iona Lemondrop from last month if you missed her.

(We got a few really nice pictures from Lucy and since we can’t feature them all as “the” pinup I decided to put them down here so take a look!)

State of the :mused: address I

Hey musers,

Now that both the Full Breasts and milkmade have been updated (Full Breasts are on version 2 and milkmade is on version 1.30) :mused: is going to be turning our attention full time to some projects we have been working on and can hopefully get these things really going. We will of course be working on other things as well but these are the two big projects.

The first is the Stud Pump which people have been asking for since we first released milkmade a little over a year ago. This is a big project we have been working on it for some time and now can really focus on it. I wanted to let you know what we were thinking and working toward. Nothing is set in stone yet all of this is subject to change as we really get into the bones of creating it but there has been a lot of talk and I wanted to give you all a picture of where things sat for our current planing.

  • The Stud Pump will be a cock pump collecting semen rather than milk.
  • It will be a complimentary game to the milkmade system both can benefit from each other but neither is required to play the other.
  • You can, but do not have to, drink the semen.
  • This will be the pump only not the cock to go with it so you can use whatever you normally use there will be a lot of options and we hope to make it natively compatible to as many brands as possible.
  • As its a separate game the stat charts will be separate but we hope to have a bridging HUD so if you do use both you don’t need a pile of HUDs

The next big thing we are working on for the breast side of things is Mesh!

  • The new breasts will be a different product than what is currently for sale we are not simply taking milkmade and Full Breasts and making them mesh. They will be compatible with milkmade however.
  • We hope to offer a few different shapes to suit a wider variety of tastes.
  • We are hoping to make them resize more seamlessly than other mesh options to allow for even greater avatar customization.
  • We want to make them as compatible with the existing market of appliers as possible for easier use.

What sort of features would you like to see added to either of these? What brand of cocks would you like to see supported? Let us know in the comments.
