State of the :mused: address I

Hey musers,

Now that both the Full Breasts and milkmade have been updated (Full Breasts are on version 2 and milkmade is on version 1.30) :mused: is going to be turning our attention full time to some projects we have been working on and can hopefully get these things really going. We will of course be working on other things as well but these are the two big projects.

The first is the Stud Pump which people have been asking for since we first released milkmade a little over a year ago. This is a big project we have been working on it for some time and now can really focus on it. I wanted to let you know what we were thinking and working toward. Nothing is set in stone yet all of this is subject to change as we really get into the bones of creating it but there has been a lot of talk and I wanted to give you all a picture of where things sat for our current planing.

  • The Stud Pump will be a cock pump collecting semen rather than milk.
  • It will be a complimentary game to the milkmade system both can benefit from each other but neither is required to play the other.
  • You can, but do not have to, drink the semen.
  • This will be the pump only not the cock to go with it so you can use whatever you normally use there will be a lot of options and we hope to make it natively compatible to as many brands as possible.
  • As its a separate game the stat charts will be separate but we hope to have a bridging HUD so if you do use both you don’t need a pile of HUDs

The next big thing we are working on for the breast side of things is Mesh!

  • The new breasts will be a different product than what is currently for sale we are not simply taking milkmade and Full Breasts and making them mesh. They will be compatible with milkmade however.
  • We hope to offer a few different shapes to suit a wider variety of tastes.
  • We are hoping to make them resize more seamlessly than other mesh options to allow for even greater avatar customization.
  • We want to make them as compatible with the existing market of appliers as possible for easier use.

New Milkshakes for milkmade

Hey musers,

I am excited to tell you all about the new features that are coming to milkmade. Milkshakes! Direct from the source for those days when you really need to bring all the boys to the yard. So what would you need to do to make delicious homemade Milkshakes? All you would need to do is pick up a flavor cream of your choice and massage it in. For best effect work it slowly and carefully giving them Lots of attention. Our test group of boys in the yard seemed to prefer Milkshakes made this way, with lots of time spent working the cream into the nipples. Please note the Mint Chocolate Chip tingles a bit and this is normal. Then just wait, once your breasts are full of milk you will need to add the shake. Just about anything will work so long as it gives your breasts enough bump, bounce, wiggle and jiggle to shake up your milk, it was our experience that said boys in the yard were happy to help with this step. As Milkshakes are a frosty treat it is recommended you do the shaking with them as exposed as possible to make sure you get the right chilling. ^_-april fools new copy

milkmade ranks

So some of the questions I have been seeing with the announcement of the changes to the way milkmade gen is calculated made me think that maybe the creators’ thought process on what the stats mean and how the ranks should work should be spelled out. Now its not our intention to tell anyone how they should use the system or play the game. Its still totally up to you what you want to do with it and how you want to enjoy it but this is a little of what we are thinking. This of course is all subject to change as we see how these work out in practice, just like we changed the way servants calculated for generation points, or added persistence as a stat.

MoT (milk over time)

This is a producer stat and the main area for producers to complete. It was also the first stat to have any bonus associated with it. Rising in this stat gives you access to new appearance features and increases your lactation rate.

Lifetime Milk Intake and Persistence

This is a drinker stat and one way for drinkers to compete. Originally we only had Lifetime Milk Intake but then found that did not really accurately reflect current active players so we added Persistence as well. At current there is no bonus associated with these stats.

Storage or Milk Assets

The amount of milk stored is a more general stat that anyone can compete in if they want to, however it does come at a time and linden cost and has the risk of being spoiled if the owner of the tanks does not continue to be active in the game.

Generations

We knew there was a desire for the system to have a master servant component, but we wanted this to be incorporated into the game not just an after thought to accommodate peoples rp styles. It is certainly not needed but if people did want to play with this relationship we wanted there to be away for it to be part of the game. So we made Generation as a way to rank masters. This number considers storage, an investment and a risk, servants, and the players own activeness in the game, persistence. We recognized that those that did well with this would probably be working with a large number of servants and we understand the work that goes in the managing a successful group. So we added generation bonuses. This bonus does two things, it makes the top gen’s milk a little more desirable and gives an incentive to sell milk which impacts the storage stats giving more room for competition.

Again anyone can play with the game how they choose to we are not saying anyone needs to focus on a stat or any stat but this is just the thinking that has gone into the way we manage the stats and any bonus we may add in the future related to them.

milkmade gen stat calculation change

The time for change is upon us. We have decided to change the way the generation points are calculated. We realized that being a drinker does not really benefit a master so what we have decided to do is to calculate drinker servants differently than producer servants. At current simply having a non hypo servant adds a base set of points. What we want to do is make it so that a servants value increases with their game play. If you have the breasts you are a producer, if you do not have the breasts and only have the Milk Monitor HUD or Master HUD then you are a drinker. The new stat calculation will look like this:

Generation points = total litres stored + (personal persistence x3) + producer servants MoT + (drinker servants life time intake x2)

And speaking of drinking, in the near future, we will also be adding the ability to remove Hypocalcemia by drinking a set amount of milk or by using the vitamin D supplement.

Why Prim Breasts?

Today I wanted to delve a little into a question a good friend asked me when I told them I worked for :mused: Why?

Or more accurately Why prim breasts? For me it started with Zin, my partner, she wanted a curvier shape for her avatar and is a bit of a visualphile and so the distortion you get to textures and shape that comes from enlarging the base avatar mesh was just not going to cut it. So she started looking around and ultimately settled on :mused: full breasts for her first pair. I will admit I was skeptical. I mean wouldn’t she have a hard time with clothes for them and wasn’t all the prim breast clothes really revealing?  But she proved my stereotyping wrong and I loved the way her avatar looked once it was all set up, but it wasn’t for me I did not enlarge my breasts big enough to need them. But when a beta test announcement went out in the :mused: group Zin jumped on it, and was accepted to work as part of the milkmade closed beta. I was REALLY skeptical about this. I will admit to having all sorts of preconceived ideas about what milkmade would be like and none were very flattering until I got to know the other people testing and the creators through Zin and I loved the people. And with just about everything else my prejudice melted away in light of the reality and so I bought my first pair of prim breasts the day milkmade released I was still nervous about it, what other people might think. But I enjoyed the community, the game, the way my avatar looked because even sized down (though I tend to go bigger these days much to the delight of Zin) my avatar’s shape benefited from the detail and care that went into making the breasts.

But that’s just my story and I know many other people have other reasons for the choices they make so I asked around in the :mused: creamery group and around the store to get other peoples perspectives and stories. The most common thing I heard was that people wanted more control over there avatar’s shape and a better look. For others it was part of an RP thing, playing Ushimimi or playing with other breast and lactation fantasies. For some prim breasts helped to establish that their avatar though on the smaller size was a petite woman not a child avatar.

“Personally, I use prim breasts when I want to have a larger chest simply for the fact that they look better than the base avatar breasts. Not only that, there are women in RL that have huge breasts, so why not be able to represent something like that in SL with breasts that are oversized like an F cup? There are also those that have breast expansion fantasies that really can’t be done without them. The only real cons to having prim breasts are cost, so many different types and skin matching.” -Terri Modan

“Well I am picky about the prim breasts I use. Personally most look fake and to round, I use both mused and tango lola’s to have a slightly larger than avatar breast look, but try to make them natural. But why I started using them is because they look better than the avatar breasts. Some of the problems I have faced was the fact that they often look fake or to round and not enough gravity affecting them. as well getting them to match evenly with the skin I am using since I use drow skins.” -aramil Silvercloud
